Bay Area Bonsai Society

Tentative meeting schedule. Subject to change. Topics to be determined.
2026
January 14th: 6:00 pm- 8:00 pm- Green Bay Botanical Gardens- Club Holiday Potluck and gift exchange. A fun meeting of food and holiday cheer. We also discuss the coming years meeting plans.
Feb- No meeting. I suggest members watch MBS videos. Maybe about repotting, soil, spring bonsai tasks.
March 11, 7-9pm -GBBG “A year in the life of a bonsai” by Chris and/or repotting prep. Find out what to do and when with your trees. A very informative meeting just before the your trees come out of their winter beds and the repotting season starts.
April 8, 7-9pm -GBBG - Repotting workshop- bring tree to work on. It is that time of the year again...repotting season...have questions or concerns about repotting? Bring a tree or 2 to work on. Please bring your own repotting supplies.
April TBD- Saturday Plantscapers - Big Juniper club tree styling. Help take this awesome tree to the next level.
May 2, 12-5pm - GBBG- Beginners Class @ GBBG. Mike Jarrett will lead this class. Learn the basics of bonsai from the Green Bay Area Bonsai Society. Leave with a bonsai in training. This is a great opportunity to learn about bonsai in Wisconsin and see if this hobby is something you might be interested in. This class is hosted by the Green Bay Botanical Garden and a fee does apply. Detail will be posted once finalized.
BABS member volunteers will be needed to help him run this class. Let us know if interested please.
May 13, 7-9pm - Location TBD Member Tree Q&A. Have a tree you help with. Bring for club discussion.
June 10, 6-8pm - Members Garden Tour. Need to find people who will welcome us into their gardens. If you are open to sharing you trees with the club please let me know.
July- No Meeting
Aug 12, 6-8pm - Plantscapers - Annual Styling Competition and Potluck. Please bring a dish to share.
Sept TBD - Saturday - Plantscapers - Member Tree Workshop. Bring a tree to have evaluated and worked on. A participation fee will apply. Free to observe.
Oct 14, 7-9pm - GBGB - Annual Auction - A great opportunity to acquire new to you trees, pots, tools etc or a chance to pass on your items to a new home . Cash or check.
